How Your Purchase Helped Transform Zuki's Workshop
At Chara Holiday, the majority of our collections are lovingly handmade by our tailor, Zuki, here in Bali.

When we first met Zuki, he was working from a small workshop attached to his home. That's where our very first samples came to life. It wasn't a large factory or a polished studio, just years of experience, incredible craftsmanship, and a genuine passion for creating beautiful clothing.
From the beginning, we knew we didn't want to chase cheaper production or larger factories. We wanted to grow alongside the people who believed in our vision, and Zuki has been at the heart of that journey ever since.

As Chara Holiday grew, we made a conscious decision to continue working with Zuki, providing consistent work month after month so he could build a more secure future doing what he loves.
Recently, Zuki took the exciting step of moving into his own dedicated workshop just next door to his home. The space had plenty of potential, but it also needed some work. The roof leaked during heavy rain, the electrical wiring needed replacing, there wasn't enough storage, and the workshop could have been a brighter, more comfortable place to spend the many hours he dedicates to every collection.

Using profits from Chara Holiday, we decided to help transform the space.
Together, we repaired the roof, updated the electrical wiring, installed brighter lighting, added shelving and storage, painted the walls, and bought Zuki a supportive chair for the long hours he spends carefully sewing each garment by hand.

The workshop is now brighter, safer, more organised, and a space that reflects the quality and care that goes into every Chara Holiday piece.
For us, this is what building a business is about.
It's about knowing the person behind every garment, growing together, and making sure success is shared with our team
This workshop is only one small chapter in our story, and we hope it's the first of many we'll share through our Impact Journal.
